    Oracle Projects Functional Consultant

     

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties:

    • Participating in Oracle setup, configuration of workflows;
    • Translating business requirements for developers and other users;
    • Executing highly complex or specialized projects;
    • Adapting precedent and making significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions;
    • Acting as highest level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, multiple platforms and project completion;
    • Performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management;
    • Assisting with Oracle e-business upgrades and process changes;
    • Ensuring technical completeness and correctness of the integrated system design, including work of others;
    • Performing technical planning and proposing modification of specifications;
    • Developing specifications for new products, services, applications and service offerings;
    • Assessing the compatibility and integration of products and services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies;
    • Anticipating internal and external business challenges and regulatory issues;
    • Recommending process, product or service improvements;
    • Performing functional design set up using SDLC/AIM methodologies;
    • Contributing to the development of functional strategy;
    • Leading project teams to achieve milestones and objectives;
    • Preparing reports, schedules, presentations, procedures, and process documents;
    • Working with technical developers and DBA’s to correct issues in the functioning of the applications;
    • Developing and executing test plans for production; and
    • Providing guidance and support the users in their efforts to become proficient in the use of the applications.

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration and 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related role translating business requirements into functional designs and leading the implementation, upgrade and customization of Oracle applications versions Release 12;
    • 5 years of experience with: Oracle Financials (AR, AP, GL, FA), Oracle Project Suite, including PA, PJM, PJT, CST, INV OM; Oracle Primavera; Oracle Time and Labor (OTL); Oracle Install Base (IB); Oracle Forms; and with writing SQL for queries using Oracle e-Business Suite database table structures.
    • Current assignment through Modis, Inc.’s Jacksonville, FL headquarters to a worksite in Houston, TX, but must be willing to travel and/or relocate within commuting distance of various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. for long or short-term projects.
