Responsibilities

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Designing hardware and software builds and systems options, and performing risks analyses for same;
  • Planning, configuring, managing and troubleshooting IIS web server;
  • Installing, configuring, and administering WebSphere Application Server and HTTP server;
  • Planning, configuring, managing and troubleshooting application servers and web servers hosted on RHEL;
  • Performing a variety of web-related administration and configuration functions within the I&O Web Middleware organization related to the Centralized Middleware Project;
  • Deploying various WAR, JAR, EAR and J2EE applications on managed servers; Deploying application packages on WebLogic and Websphere Servers;
  • Coordinating and communicating with application support, infrastructure teams, project managers, and support teams;
  • Performing root cause analysis for Middleware issues;
  • Researching issues following troubleshooting methodologies; and
  • Automating tasks using Bash and Python scripting.

 

 

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

 

 

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related using Microsoft IIS Web Server, IBM Websphere Application Server, HTTP Server, IBM Websphere MQ, IBM Websphere Message Broker, IBM BPM, WebLogic, PuTTy, RHEL, LDAP, JMS configuration, Apache, Tomcat, WAR, JAR, and EAR.
  • Current assignment through Modis, Inc.’s Jacksonville, FL headquarters to a worksite in Columbus, OH, but must be willing to travel and/or relocate within commuting distance of various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. for long or short-term projects.
